Naaman was the commander of the Syrian army. He was a clever soldier but had one terrible problem. He was covered from head to toe in big spots.

A servant girl working for Naaman's wife said to her "I wish that my master could go to the prophet in Samaria! He would cure him".

Naaman went to Israel to see Elisha.

Elisha sent his servant out to speak to Naaman who told him to go and wash seven times in the river Jordan.

Naaman was very angry. "The rivers at home are just as good as any old river in Israel.

I'm sure I could've washed in them and been cured". So he sat on a rock and sulked.

Naaman is persuaded by his servants to bathe in the river Jordan.
